The major goals of this Christian school are to encourage a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and to build a foundation for further Christian maturity; to produce responsible citizens and prepare them for leadership in their communities; to provide secondary education in preparation for further education or occupation.
Born again staff members have helped to shape the lives of students who are now making their lives count in the development of their country by becoming ministers, youth leaders, social workers, teachers, nurses, accountants, musicians, doctors, lawyers, business managers, tourism promoters, policemen, Royal Bahamas Defense Force officers, radio and television programmers and announcers, web page builders, leaders in the educational field, public relations officers abroad, and the list goes on!
Windermere is for EDUCATION in the academic, physical, spiritual, and moral areas of young lives.
Windermere High School is located in Savannah Sound settlement on the island called Eleuthera in The Bahamas. The school has a beautiful view to the east of the Atlantic Ocean and to the West of the Exuma Sound. The usual breezes of the Southeast Tradewinds are much appreciated, especially on the hot days of summer.
We encourage all students to be involved in any of the sporting programs like: softball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
Clubs such as keyboard and band are also available for students to join.
Our curriculum follows the standards of the Bahamas Junior Certificate (BJC 9th grade government examinations) and the Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE 12th grade government exams).
